The main education profile of the department is applied computer science (designing and implementing software systems, mobile software, database management systems, portal technologies, Windows and Linux programming), control theory, robot control, power electronics, and digital design. The main research activities are in the field of control theory, signal processing, visual modeling languages and their transformation methods, data mining, performance analysis of software systems, distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, hardware and software aspects of embedded systems, power electronics, renewable energy sources, intelligent robots, adaptive systems, and ambient intelligence. The Department maintains intense long-term relationships with its industrial partners, and we are running several successful development, research, and educational projects for them.
