Augmented Reality: Distributed Point Clouds
Bell Labs works on various aspects of physical world understanding in the context of enterprises. Robots and other agents navigate the world using (V-)SLAM algorithms, accompanied by point clouds. The applicant will gain knowledge and understanding of Augmented Reality (AR) navigation systems and a deep dive to localization problems in such AR systems. The point of this task is to investigate point clouds in the context of spatial computing applications. Different methods will be analyzed to improve efficiency of the localization of robots and other AR systems.
