Physical unclonable function (PUF) is a hardware security primitive which operates as a one-way function that gives a unique output for the same input provided to each PUF instance. Therefore, PUFs output can be used as a "digital fingerprint" to identify electronic devices / systems uniquely.

Even if you have not heard about PUF before, do not worry; I can explain to you clearly. If you have a basic knowledge of a hardware description language ( VHDL ), you can apply for this project. You will be using a software called  Quartus and the targeted hardware is FPGA board of type Altera .
