Component/Entity Systems (CES) are an architectural pattern used mostly in game development. Implementation of CES allows for greater flexibility in mapping and defining the game’s entities based on individual parts and their recompositions. This leads to elimination of ambiguity problems while also promoting clean design. As the field of Robotics progresses, the need for clean and scalable environment modeling skyrockets, as autonomous vehicles and dynamic reconfiguration of robot cells are are to become common. The task is, to come up with a proof of concept on Robotic-CES used in a distributed data management environment within a Robot OS.
