The goal of this topic is to develop a 2D platformer game which is one of the most popular game category that many big companies had developed such as Mario, Sonic, Metal Slug...etc. The core task includes building the fundamental gameplay mechanics, such as fluid character movement, running, jumping, and combat interactions. Players will navigate through a series of well-designed levels, each presenting increasing difficulty, different enemy types, and unique environmental hazards that challenge the player’s skills.
The technology stack will be built using the C# Unity Engine, allowing for smooth 2D physics, level design, and robust game systems. Throughout the semester, additional game mechanics, unique art styles, and immersive audio and cohesive gaming experience will be propose.
