Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the way businesses operate by improving efficiency, enabling smarter decision-making, and creating new opportunities for growth. This project will explore how AI can be applied to a business problem in a chosen domain (eg, marketing, customer service, operations, finance, logistics, human resources, etc.)

The student will design and implement an AI-based solution, document the journey as a business-focused case study , and present it in the form of a website .

Tasks to be completed: 

  • Select one or more  business problems  (eg, predicting customer churn, optimizing supply chains, automating support, improving demand forecasting) that can be addressed using AI.

  • Design and prototype an AI-powered solution (eg, machine learning for prediction, natural language processing for chatbots, recommender systems for sales)  tailored to that business challenge.

  • Present the project as a case study , following a structured business analysis approach.

  • Develop a website that communicates the problem, solution, process, and business impact.

 

Case Study Structure

  1. Business Problem

    • Define the specific challenge faced by a business.

    • Explain the relevance and business value of solving this problem.

  2. AI Solution Design

    • Identify the AI ​​methods.

    • Describe the data needed and how it is processed.

    • Outline the AI ​​tools and frameworks used.

  3. Implementation

    • Development of the AI ​​model or prototype.

    • Integration with a business workflow (simulated or real).

    • Challenges encountered and how they were resolved.

  4. Results & Business Impact

    • Demonstrate the outcomes (eg, higher efficiency, reduced costs, improved customer satisfaction, increased revenue).

    • Show quantitative or qualitative benefits.

    • Discuss scalability and potential ROI.

  5. Conclusion & Recommendations

    • Key takeaways for businesses considering similar AI adoption.

    • Lessons learned from the project.

The final website will present the case study :

  • Landing Page : Project title and a clear summary of the business challenge solved with AI.

  • Case Study Sections : Problem → AI Solution → Implementation → Results → Lessons.

  • Visuals : Diagrams of workflows, before-and-after comparisons, dashboards or screenshots of prototypes.

  • Interactive Elements : A demo (eg, chatbot, dashboard, or recommendation system).

  • Key Takeaways Page : Business insights in bullet points and a downloadable summary.
